Ta'Shia Phillips and Team USA Crush France, 115-30, in World University Games Preliminary Round Action
July 1, 2009 BELGRADE, Serbia - Xavier University women's basketball standout Ta'Shia Phillips scored eight points and hauled in eight rebounds in 13-minutes of action to help the United States World University Games Team defeat the French WUG Team by a convincing 115-30 score on Wednesday, July 1 at the Sports Hall in Belgrade, Serbia. The contest was part of the Preliminary Round of the 2009 World University Games. Phillips was 3-of-9 from the floor against France and also recorded one steal. The Team USA jumped out to a 35-7 lead after the first quarter and led 84-19 after three quarters. Team USA will take on Great Britain on July 2 as the Preliminary Round continues.
