Ta'Shia Phillips Named A-10 Player of the Year

She led the league in rebounding and field goal percentage and was seventh in the conference in scoring. Phillips is also second in the A-10 at 1.77 blocks per game. Reed, the 2007-08 A-10 Sixth Player of the Year, averaged 11.3 points and 4.7 rebounds per game. She played in all 30 of XU’s games and earned 29 starts. Reed also shot 39 percent from 3-point range in 27.9 minutes per game.
Taylor, who has been a part of 96 wins in her four years at XU, averaged 10.4 points per game while leading the conference with 2.31 made 3-point field goals per game. Xavier, which earned the No. 1 seed in the upcoming Atlantic 10 Championship, will take on either No. 8 Dayton or No. 9 Saint Louis on Saturday at 12 p.m.
