CINCINNATI- The Xavier women's basketball team will close out the regular season Sunday afternoon with a mid-day match-up against Massachusetts. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. at Cintas Center and the game will be broadcast live on CBS Sports Network. Following the game, two senior team members - Sabrina Johnson and Tyeasha Moss - will be recognized.

About the Musketeers
Xavier (7-19, 4-9 A-10) closed out the road portion of its schedule Wednesday night at Dayton
with an 83-54 loss to the Flyers, its second of the season to UD. The Musketeers shot 41.7 percent
from the floor but were plagued by turnovers. As a team, XU ranks first in the Atlantic 10 defensive
rebounds (27.4), fourth in rebounding offense (38.4) and sixth in rebounding margin (+2.3)
and defensive rebounding percentage (.681).

The Musketeers are led by senior guard Tyeasha Moss with 13.7 ppg. (9th A-10) while junior
forward Jessica Pachko is the team’s leading rebounder, grabbing 8.0 boards per contest (4th
A-10). Pachko’s 51.2 field goal percentage is sixth-best in the league and she leads the conference
in defensive rebounds with 6.0 per game. Sophomore guard Shatyra Hawkes’ 3.4 apg. ranks
sixth in the league and her 81.8 free throw percentage is seventh in the A-10.

Scouting Massachusetts
Massachusetts (8-20, 3-10 A-10) claimed a 68-57 win over visiting Rhode Island Wednesday on
Senior Night. The Minutewomen had four players in double-figures scoring including Jasmine
Watson with a team-high 15 points. UM ranks fourth in the Atlantic 10 in assists (15.1) and fifth in
3-point field goal percentage (.343) and 3-point field goals made (5.3).

The Minutewomen are led by Shakia Robinson with 12.1 ppg. (15th A-10) and Watson who averages
12.0 ppg. (16th A-10), 7.4 rpg. (7th A-10) and 1.6 bpg. (3rd A-10). Carolann Cloutier dishes
out 4.7 apg. (2nd A-10) and Emilie Teuscher’s 42.2 3-point field goal percentage is third-best in
the league.

The Series
Xavier and Massachusetts have previously met 20 times in the all-time series between the two
squads with the Musketeers holding the 18-2 margin. XU has won 16 straight against UM, including
last season’s meeting in Amherst, 81-55. The two first squared off on Feb. 10, 1996 - Xavier’s first
season as a member of the Atlantic 10 - and the Minutewomen dominated with the 75-56 victory.
