Xavier comes into Friday's contest with a 17-7 overall mark including an 8-5 record in Atlantic 10 Play.  XU ended the season with five consecutive road wins when the team defeated La Salle on Sunday by a 70-62 count.

UMass sports a 9-14 overall record and is 6-6 in A-10 action.  The Minutewomen have won six of their last seven games.

McGuff Moves Up A-10 Charts
Fourth year head coach Kevin McGuff is bolting up a couple of lists after leading XU to a 13-3 Conference record last season.  McGuff is in ninth place on the all-time Atlantic 10 winning percentage list (regular season games only).  McGuff has a record of 40-21 in A-10 regular season games since the 2002-03 season for a winning percentage of .656.  Joe McKeown and Dawn Staley are the only other two active A-10 coaches with better winning percentages in regular season play.  McGuff now sits in 16th place after just three seasons on the A-10 wins list (regular season games only) with 40.

The Series vs. the Minutewomen
The Musketeers are 12-2 all-time against UMass and have won 10 consecutive games vs. the Minutewomen.  Xavier is a spotless 5-0 all-time when playing UMass at home and that includes a 3-0 mark at Cintas Center.  Xavier's last loss in the series came in 49-44 fashion on March 1, 1998 in Amherst.

Boothe Named to Wooden Watch List
Senior All-American candidate Tara Boothe has been selected to the John R. Wooden Award Midseason Watch List, as announced on February 2 by the Los Angeles Athletic Club. Comprised of the top 20 players who are expected to contend for this year's Player of the Year Award, the Midseason list is based on individual player performance and team records through the first half of the season.
