Xavier Women's Basketball Team Announces Second Annual Swishes For Wishes Game

CINCINNATI -- The Xavier University women's basketball team will be making "Swishes for Wishes" Sunday, January 21 at Cintas Center at 2:00 p.m. when the Musketeers take on the nationally ranked George Washington Colonials. This Atlantic 10 Conference game will be televised nationally on ESPN2 and feature a mascot basketball game at halftime.

$1.00 from every ticket sold will benefit The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, Southern Ohio region.

Tickets are only $6.00 for adults and $4.00 for children 17 and under. Groups of 15 or more can get $2.00 off. For tickets call (513) 745-3411.

In addition to the donation made from ticket sales, Xavier University will auction off a luxury suite with 14 tickets and $100 worth of food on www.GOXAVIER.com. The auction will run from Wednesday, January 10 through 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 18. All proceeds from the auction will also benefit The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky & Indiana, Southern Ohio region.

The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Greater Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, Southern Ohio region fulfilled the individual wishes of 118 local children diagnosed with life-threatening medical conditions last fiscal year. Currently they have 127 pending wishes.
