CINCINNATI - The No. 13/13 Xavier women’s basketball team defeated the Fordham Rams 75-47 Saturday afternoon in Cintas Center. XU concludes the regular season with a 25-5 (13-1 A-10) record while the Rams fall to 8-21 (1-13 A-10).

- Today was senior day for XU seniors Jerri Taylor and Tudy Reed. Taylor, Xavier’s primary defensive stopper, has started all 29 of the games she played in this season, averaging just over 10 points in 29.6 minutes of play. Reed has started 29 of this season’s 30 games, averaging 11.3 points and 4.7 rebounds in 27.9 minutes of play.

- The win completed the regular season for Xavier as the Musketeers claimed the Atlantic 10 regular season championship. XU finished their A-10 schedule with a 13-1 record, the one loss coming last Wednesday at Temple.

- Fordham managed to grab only 28 rebounds during the game. The season-low for opponent rebounds this season is 22, set by both La Salle and Saint Bonaventure.

- Xavier dominated points in the paint, scoring 28 to Fordham’s 12. Second chance points were also won by XU, .

- Sophomore Ta’Shia Phillips recorded her 14th double-double of the season with her XX point, XX rebound performance. Phillips grabbed XX offensive rebounds during the contest, compared to XX for the Rams. Phillips’ XX rebounds is her third-highest total this season. She grabbed 21 versus Saint Bonaventure and 25 at North Carolina.

- Sophomore Special Jennings dished out seven assists, just one shy of her season high of eight on December 28, 2007 versus Akron.

- Jerri Taylor shot her best three-point field goal percentage of the season, making XX of XX attempts for a XXXX percentage.
