Tyeasha Moss hopes to extent the Musketeer season in the Atlantic 10 Tournament.

CINCINNATI- The Xavier women's basketball team defeated Massachusetts in a 70-61 victory Sunday on Senior Night. Senior Sabrina Johnson had one of her best games in her career, tallying a career-high 13 points and nine rebounds.
The Musketeers finished the regular season with an 8-19 record and 5-9 in the Atlantic 10 conference. With the loss, Massachusetts ends its regular season with an 8-21 record and 3-11 in league play. Xavier leads the all-time series 19-2, and has beaten Massachusetts 17 consecutive times.
Tyeasha Moss and Johnson played their final home game Sunday and they both ended on a positive note. Moss finished with 13 points and five rebounds. Johnson was 5-for-7 from the field and 3-for-6 from the free throw line. This was Johnson's third consecutive game in double figure scoring.
Sophomore Ashley Wanninger had a career-high 12 points off of four three-point baskets. Junior Jessica Pachko reeled in 10 boards to go along with her eight points. Shatyra Hawkes and Lakeisha Crouch each added nine points in the winning effort.
The Minutewomen wouldn't go away at the end of the game as they managed to chop the lead to 58-54 with less than five minutes left. However the early lead for the Musketeers was too much to overcome.
Massachusetts cut the lead to 51-46 with 11:30 left in the game off a 15-2 run. Xavier was held without a field goal for over eight minutes. The field goal drought was broken when Johnson posted up from the left block and muscled her away to get the layup.
The Musketeers outrebounded the Minutewomen 42-26 with Pachko leading the way. The Xavier bench outscored Massachusetts 18-3 and sank five free throws that sealed the victory at the end.
Xavier was in complete control of the first half as they entered the locker rooms with a 43-29 lead over Massachusetts. Wanninger led all scorers with 12 points after her spectacular three-point shooting.
The Musketeers set a new season-high first half point total with 43 points and a season-high first half field goal percentage with 60.7 percent (17-of-28).
Xavier pulled out to a 28-11 lead with 7:50 left in the first half thanks to a 16-5 run. The Musketeers held the Minutewomen to only 44.4 percent shooting in the first half and forced eight turnovers.
The Musketeers were firing from all ranges in the first half, they shot 44.4 percent from long-range with four players scoring six or more points. Wanninger started off the game making 4-of-6 from long-range and Johnson was a perfect 3-for-3 from the field in the first half.
Jasmine Watson of Massachusetts had a game-high 21 points from 9-of-14 shooting.
