Senior Sabrina Johnson was one of two Musketeers in double figures Saturday afternoon

OLEAN, N.Y. - The Xavier women's basketball team fell at No. 22/25 St. Bonaventure, 66-48, Saturday afternoon at SBU's Reilly Center. Seniors Tyeasha Moss and Sabrina Johnson each had 10 points for the Musketeers.
Also for XU, freshman Lakeisha Crouch tallied a career-high 14 rebounds while Moss dished out a season-high tying six assists on the day.
The Musketeers turned the ball over a season-low eight times to the Bonnies' miniscule four miscues. SBU won the battled of the boards, 43-37, and out-shot the Musketeers 43.5 percent to 32.1 percent.
Trailing by 15, 38-23, at the half, the Musketeers came out of the break scoring four of the first six points to cut the lead to 13. The Bonnies were too much too handle and stretched their lead out to as many as 25, 57-32, with 13:30 left to play.
SBU's Megan Van Tatenhove came out firing, scoring 15 straight points for the Bonnies to open the game. Even with two early fouls, Gray was the Musketeers' leading scorer in the first frame with nine points. St. Bonaventure shot 48 percent from the floor to Xavier's 31 percent over the first 20 minutes and the Bonnies held the 22-17 rebounding advantage.
The Bonnies were led by Van Tatenhove with a game-high 24 points and Alaina Walker with nine rebounds.
The Musketeers continue their two-game road swing with a trip up Interstate 75 to a match-up with intrastate rival Dayton on Wednesday, Feb. 22. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at UD Arena.
