Brenden Stowers wrapped up his first season as the video coordinator at Xavier.

Stowers comes to Xavier after spending the 2010-11 season as a graduate assistant coach at his alma mater, Northern Kentucky. Prior to his stint at NKU, he was a coach of the Simon Kenton HS girls basketball team for five years (2005-09) and an assistant coach for the men's team at Thomas More College (2009-10).

Stowers was a four-year letterwinner at Northern Kentucky, where he earned All-America honors for the Norse in 2003 after leading the team to the GLVC Tournament title. He was also named the most outstanding player of the 2003 GLVC Tournament.

He finished his NKU career with 1,311 points and ranks in the top 10 in Norse history in assists and free-throw percentage. He averaged 16.2 points per game as a senior and made a Norse single-season record 187 free throws in 2002-03.

Stowers, a native of Independence, Ky., is a 2008 graduate of NKU where he earned his Bachelor's degree in Secondary Education and Recreation Fitness. He is now pursuing his Master's degree in Sports Administration.
