Midwest Sports/Xavier Tennis Pro-Am Set For June 9

The annual Midwest Sports/Xavier Tennis Pro-Am will be held on Saturday, June 9. This annual event helps to bring in over $35,000 each year for the Xavier University Tennis programs.

Xavier sophomores Jimmy Roebker and Mesa Mei were named first-team All-Atlantic 10 by the league's coaches. Junior Brandon MacDonald also received a Second-Team and Academic All-Conference honor.

Xavier's season came to a close on Sunday afternoon after it fell to George Washington, 4-3, in the championship match of the 2012 Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Championship held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center.

Xavier Advances To Atlantic 10 Finals With 4-0 Victory Over Richmond

The No. 2 seeded Xavier men's tennis team advanced to its sixth straight Atlantic 10 tournament final with a 4-0 win over No. 6 Richmond Saturday at the Queen City Racquet Club. The duo of Miachel Moe and Philip Diaz's 8-5 win at No. 3 doubles clinched the first point of the match for Xavier.
