Men's Tennis Travels To Tennessee For USTA/ITA Regional Championships
CINCINNATI - With legs, arms and minds fresh from a week of rest, senior Mesa Mei and Jimmy Roebker, junior Michael Moe and sophomores Zach Mueck and Adam Krull will head to Knoxville, Tennessee to represent Xavier in the United States Tennis Association (USTA)/Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Fall Regional Championship this weekend.
The University of Tennessee's Dr. Robert L. Barksdale Tennis Stadium will host the Fall Regional Championships beginning Friday morning. There will be a championship draw for both singles and doubles competition with national indoor qualification benefits, if play results in wins for the musketeers. A consolation draw will also be held for singles competition, for those unable to earn victories on the first day of competition.
This will be the third event that top players from Xavier will compete in this fall. Mei and Roebker will compete in singles play and then team up for doubles competition. Krull looks to continue his dominance in singles play and then team up with Moe for doubles, while Mueck will only compete in singles.
