All-American Championships In Sight

CINCINNATI - This weekend, seniors Mesa Mei and Jimmy Roebker and sophomores Zach Mueck and Adam Krull will be heading to Tulsa, Oklahoma to represent Xavier in the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Men's All-American Championships.

All four players will start play with pre-qualifying singles rounds that will begin on Saturday. Players must win four rounds to reach qualifying play that begins on Monday. They will then have to win three rounds to advance to the main draw starting on Oct. 3.

It will be just the second event that the top players from the Musketeers will compete in this fall. Both Mesa Mei and Jimmy Roebker hold a 2-2 singles play record this season, yet both look to dominate as they enter pre-qualifying rounds early in the weekend. Zach Mueck enters the event with a 1-3 singles play record will also anticipate huge wins.

Adam Krull, All-Tournament honoree at the Jack Vredevelt Invite, plans to maintain his flawless singles play rerecord as he takes the courts with a four-match win-streak this weekend.

For Mesa Mei, this will be his second appearance at the All-American Championship in two years. For Jimmy Roebker, Adam Krull and Zach Mueck this will be their first under Head Coach Eric Toth.
