CINCINNATI - The Xavier men's tennis team will look to extend its winning streak this weekend as it plays host to Morehead State, Western Kentucky and Northern Kentucky at various locations throughout the Cincinnati area.
The Musketeers (4-1) rescheduled last weekend's match with Morehead State to coincide with the women's match being playing at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Eastern Hills Indoor Tennis Center. The two clubs were scheduled to play last weekend but had to postpone the match due to weather conditions.
Xavier will return Saturday as it takes on Western Kentucky at noon at the Western Tennis & Fitness Club. The Musketeers then travel across town for a 7 p.m. match against Northern Kentucky at Eastern Hills.
Led by juniors Mesa Mei and Jimmy Roebker the Musketeers have rattled off four-straight victories, including three-consecutive 7-0 victories. Mei is 5-0 on the season while Roebker, freshman Zach Meuck and senior Brandon MacDonald each have 4-1 records.
Xavier is 23-7 as a team in its five dual matches this year and has only dropped two singles points since their opening loss to No. 4 Ohio State.
The Musketeer double tandems have also fared well in the early season having won 11-straight doubles decisions.
