Men's Tennis Concludes USTA/ITA Fall Regional Championships
Oct. 13, 2013
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - After two days of action-filled tennis at the USTA/Fall Regional Championships, the remaining Musketeers were knocked out of competition earlier this afternoon.
Senior Jimmy Roebker looked to continue his dominance at the Regional championships on Sunday as he squared off against Rhys Johnson of Vanderbilt University. Unfortunately, a win was not in his favor. Johnson defeated Roebker in two sets 6-1, 6-2, eliminating the last Musketeer left in the championship draw.
Sophomore Adam Krull also had a chance to capitalize for the Musketeers in the consolation draw, as he faced off against Hayden Joblin of Wright State. Joblin pulled out the win in two sets 6-1, 6-4 putting an end to the Musketeers fall season.
The musketeers will work on their skills during the off season, before resuming play in the spring.
