TULSA, Okla.-With unfortunate loses on Sunday, all but one member of the Xavier men's tennis team was eliminated from the pre-qualifying flight of the 2013 ITA All-American Championships.
After advancing to the second round of pre-qualifying competition on Saturday, Senior Mesa Mei continued with his impressive play by defeating Illinois State's Erik Brunskog in two sets, 6-0, 6-2. Mei then went on to play Texas A&M's Jordan Szabo, where Mei was unable to continue his two-match win-streak, losing in two sets, 6-2, 7-5.
Junior Jimmy Roebker had to wait until late Sunday evening to see his round of action. After a tough battle from Ben Mullis, Roebker went down in two sets, 6-2, 7-6(5).
consolation play, Adam Krull defeated Parker Allen in great fashion, 6-2, 6-0. Krull will move on in the consolation bracket.
Zach Mueck also had an opportunity to advance in consolation play but was handed the short end of the stick, losing to St. Mary's Joakim Norstrom in a competitive three set battle, 4-6, 6-2, 6-3.
