Men's Tennis Concludes Spring Regular Season With A Win

Highland Heights - In a great match-up between the Xavier Musketeers and the Northern Kentucky Norse, the Musketeers seized Norse with a score, 5-2.
In doubles, Adam Krull and Jeremy Schneider started off match play by serving past Jody Maginley and Christopher Angulo, 8-2. Matt Bishop and Zach Mueck followed up in similar fashion, defeating Jack Carney and Nick Lang with a final score, 8-5.
In singles, the Musketeers struggled, but ended the afternoon with four big time wins. Mueck rallied past his opponent with scores, 6-2, 6-0. Schneider traded match points but ended with two sets, 6-4, 6-2. Freddy Abunku swung past his opponent 6-2, 6-4, and Adam Krull rung up the final match point for the Musketeers edging off Christopher Angulo, 7-5, 7-5.
"We were not collectively at our best today, but were good enough to earn the victory" Head Coach Eric Toth stated. "We'll do our best to correct what we need to do better and go to New York next week with the intention of winning a BIG EAST title."
The Musketeers next match will be set to take place, Apr. 24th, in New York for the BIG EAST Championships. #LetsGoX
