CINCINNATI -- The Xavier men's tennis team extended its win streak to five straight matches with a 7-0 win over St. Bonaventure Friday. With the win, XU improved to 10-8 overall and 3-0 in Atlantic 10 play.

"Our guys did a really good job today starting our matches well in both singles and doubles," said head coach Eric Toth. "This game is a lot easier to play when playing ahead and not from behind. Duquesne has had a really good year and will be a really good test for us on Sunday. Our guys will be ready to go."

XU swept both singles and doubles action with Jimmy Roebker earning a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles. Mesa Mei topped Luis Guevara at No. 2 and Richard Canelas posted a 6-3, 6-4 win at No. 3.

Xavier continues conference play against Duquesne Sunday at noon at the Lunken Playfield courts.
