LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The Xavier men's tennis team dropped a road decision, 7-0, to No. 46 Louisville at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center on Wednesday. It was the second-ranked opponent that the Musketeers have faced this season.
Xavier is now 14-4 and remains unbeaten in conference action heading into the last month of the season. Next up for the Musketeers is a visit to Wright State next Wednesday.
"Our effort was good today, but unfortunately Louisville's play was better," head coach Eric Toth said. "We have one month left to finish our regular season strong and hopefully save our best tennis for last at the A-10 tournament. I know our guys will keep working hard to get there."
It was the first time XU had lost in a sweep this season and for the first time in 39 matches.
