CINCINNATI - The Xavier men's tennis team fell, 7-0, at Louisville Wednesday on UL's home courts at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center on Louisville's Campus. The Musketeers fall to 11-8 for the season and the No. 38 Cardinals improve to 14-5 for the year.

 

Junior Doug Matthews lost in a close decision against UL's Austen Childs at 7-6 (4), 4-6 (10), 1-0 in the No.1 singles position. Sophomore Chris Herrlinger also played a hard fought match but came up short against Viktor Maksimcuk in the No. 2 position.

 

XU will return to action Friday, March 28 when they take on the Temple Owls in Philadelphia, Pa. First serve is set for 5:00 p.m.
