Musketeers Downed by #62 Miami(FL)

CORAL GABLES, Fla. - In a warm matchup against the Hurricanes of Miami(FL), the men's tennis team was downed by its nationally-ranked opponent, 7-0.
The Musketeers put up a tremendous fight in each of their singles and doubles matches, however, were unable to attain a single victory in this afternoon's matchup.
In singles, senior Mesa Mei, sophomore Matt Bishop and freshman Jeremy Schneider each took their opponents into three tough sets before falling misfortunately. In doubles, duos Matt Bishop and Adam Krull as well as Brian Carman and Zach Mueck gave their best swings before falling to their opponents in close sets also.
"I felt our guys deserved better than a 7-0 loss today." Head Coach Eric Toth stated. "We were close on a few courts, Miami(FL) just finished matches better than we did. The fight was certainly there from all our guys. We'll be successful the next couple of days on this road trip if we can execute a little better and bring the same effort we did today."
The Musketeers will have another swing at a victory tomorrow when they face off against Toledo. Dual match play will begin at 2 p.m.
