Xavier Tennis' Five Match Win Streak Snapped

CINCINNATI, OH - In a great match-up between Xavier and nationally ranked Michigan State on the tennis courts, the Musketeers grabbed the short end of the stick, falling to Spartans 6-1.
Although play was not in Xavier's favor, the Musketeers fought relentlessly against Michigan State's fierce players.
In singles, seniors Jimmy Roebker and Mesa Mei gave Drew Lied and Aaron Pfister of Michigan State impressive performances before both falling in close sets. Zach Mueck also put his best effort forward before unfortunately going down against the Spartan's John Patrick Mullane. Sophomore Adam Krull was the only victor in today's match defeating Gijs Linders in three tough sets 7-6(2), 4-6, 10-3.
"We came out on the losing end today."Head Coach Eric Toth stated."But today's effort was another good one, against a very good Michigan St team. We have had a very good week and wrapped up the first half of the season on a real positive note. We have a lot of season left and hope to keep making the improvements we'll need to so we will be playing our best tennis in April."
