CINCINNATI – The Xavier men’s tennis team got back to its winning ways Friday night as the Musketeers defeated Morehead State 6-1 in non-conference action. With the win, the Musketeers improved to 5-3 on the season.

XU took two of three doubles matches with the duo of Patrick Bandy and Chris Herrlinger earning a win at No. 1 and Anthony Palmenter and Brian Starr taking the No. 2 match.

In singles action the Musketeers took five of six from the Eagles. Richard Canelas defeated Jerry Sundgren at No. 2 singles. Bandy defeated Bradley Bryan at No. 3 and JT Torbeck and Brandon MacDonald posted wins at No. 4 and No. 5.

The Musketeers will return to action Tuesday as they host Butler in non-conference action.
