Five Musketeers Earn Awards

Five Xavier tennis players earned conference awards. Jimmy Roebker, Mesa Mei, and Katie Pleiman were named to the first team. Brandon MacDonald and Daniella Patton earned second team honors. MacDonald and Pleiman were named to the academic team.

Musketeers Win Conference Match

Xavier defeated Dayton in conference men's tennis action on Wednesday. Sophomore Jimmy Roebker won at No. 1 for the Musketeers and took his doubles match as well.

As a Senior (2013-14) Finished his Xavier career as an unanimous selection to the BIG EAST all-conference team ... Ended the season with a team-high 17 wins in singles play ... Recorded an 8-1 record at the No. 1 spot, and earned nine more wins as the No. 2 ... Enjoyed winning streaks of three matches or more on four different occasions during the season, including winning six in a row from Feb. 7 (Central Florida) to Feb. 21 (Western Michigan) ... Went 3-1 against BIG EAST competition during the regular season ... Finished 13-6 overall in doubles in the No. 1 spot, playing all but one match with Jimmy Roebker ... Earned a decisive win over Indiana's Dimitrije Tasic and Sven Lalic (7-1) in Bloomington ...
