As a Senior (2008-09): Earned his second straight selection as Atlantic 10 Conference Most Outstanding Performer, leading the Musketeers to their second straight league title and NCAA Tournament berth while playing Flight 1 at both singles and doubles • His 15-13 singles record pushed his career mark to 75-47, ranking fourth all-time in program history • Went 11-9 in dual meet action, playing exclusively at Flight 1 • His biggest win of the season came in the semifinals of the A-10 Tournament, when he defeated his Saint Louis foe in the decisive match • Paired with junior Chris Herrlinger to go 20-11 in doubles action, including 15-8 in dual meets, all coming at the Flight 1 level • Pushed his career doubles mark to 75-52, which ranks second in program history • Career overall record of 150-99 ranks second in program history for overall victories • Finished the fall season with a record of 5-4 in singles play and 5-3 in doubles play • In doubles play at the Hoosier Invitational, Matthews and Herrlinger finished third • Participated in the 2008 D'Novo/ITA All-American Championship.

As a Junior (2007-08): Tabbed the Atlantic 10 Most Outstanding Performer • Recognized as a memeber of the A-10 All-Conference First Team • Named A-10 Player of the Week on Feb. 25 after earning a pair of wins in both singles and doubles action • Sits in eighth place for overall singles wins (60-34), third place for doubles wins (55-41) and fourth place for overall combined wins (115-75) in program history • Won 15 of his last 18 decisions in doubles action on his way to a 23-11 overall doubles record • Won his last four singles decisions of the season, including a 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 victory in the No. 1 singles slot of the champtionship round at the A-10 Tournament • Teamed with Chris Herrlinger to post a team-best 23-11 mark in doubles competition • Pairing swept through the A-10 Championship, winning three consecutive matches to help the Musketeers clinch their first NCAA Tournament berth.

As a Sophomore (2006-07): Named the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week March 26 after back-to-back wins over St. Bonaventure's Alejandro Nery and Temple's Nathan Spunda...Earned A-10 First Team All-Conference honors...Compiled an 18-15 overall singles record, including a 13-11 dual match mark playing at No. 1...Paired with Jeremy Miller at the one-spot in doubles, posting a 13-10 record.

As a Freshman (2005-06): Named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Year...Also selected to the All-Conference Team...Earned Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week honors four times during freshman campaign...Led team in singles wins with 25-10 record including a perfect 7-0 mark at No. 2...Posted a 14-15 mark in doubles...Recorded first career collegiate singles win on Sept. 16 with a straight-set defeat of IPFW's Carlos Gonzalez...Closed out the season by winning 11 straight singles matches, which included a perfect 3-0 record at the 2006 Atlantic 10 Conference Championship.
