As a Senior (2008-09): Leaves Xavier as the all-time leader in career singles, doubles and overall victories After recording a team-high 23 wins as a senior, he finished with 90 career singles victories, going 90-50 over four years His team-best 25-12 doubles record pushed his career mark to 84-48 Overall, he leaves XU with a record of 174-98, 24 wins more than any other Musketeer in history Earned his third straight Atlantic 10 All-Conference First Team selection Was named the A-10's Men's Tennis Player of the week on three ocassions Posted a 15-8 singles record in dual meets, going 1-0 in Flight 2, 11-7 in Flight 3 and 3-1 in Flight 4 action Teamed with junior J.T. Torbeck to earn 24 of his 25 doubles wins The duo went 24-11 overall, including a 16-7 mark in Flight 2 action during dual meets Showing their doubles dominance, the pair recorded victories in 16 of thier last 20 matches to end the season. As a Junior (2007-08): Became the Musketeers' all-time leader in doubles victories, going 20-12 in paired action to push his career record to 59-36 Earned A-10 First Team All-Conference and Academic All-Conference honors Finished the season with a team-best 45 total victories, moving him into second place in program history with an overall career record of 126-73 Was used primarily in the No. 3 singles slot, posting a 14-7 mark in that position Earned Atlantic 10 Player of the Week honors in consecutive weeks on Jan. 21 and Jan. 28 Ended the season by winning 12 of his last 16 singles decisions, including a come-from-behind 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 victory during the championship round of the A-10 Tournament Teamed up with J.T. Torbeck to win three consecutive matches at the A-10 Tournament in the No. 2 doubles position. As a Sophomore (2006-07): Earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors for the second consecutive year Honored on the Atlantic 10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll in fall and spring semesters Garnered A-10 All-Conference First Team accolades Named A-10 Performer of the Week on March 19 Posted a 14-9 dual match singles record playing at No. 3 Defeated Charlotte's Ryan Johnson 6-3, 6-2 in the championship match of the A-10 Tournament Teamed with J.T. Torbeck in the spring and posted a 16-9 doubles mark, playing mostly at No. 2 As a Freshman (2005-06): Earned ITA Scholar-Athlete honors Honored on the Atlantic 10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll in fall and spring semesters Named the Atlantic 10 Conference Rookie of the Week on Jan. 30 Second on the team in singles wins with a 24-9 record and first in doubles wins with a record of 17-11 Recorded first career singles victory on Sept. 16 with a 6-2, 6-0 decision over Tony Mitson of IPFW Closed out season with eight straight singles wins including a perfect 3-0 mark at the 2006 Atlantic 10 Conference Championships Posted a 10-2 mark versus A-10 competition. Prior to Xavier: Played No. 3 singles for the 2005 Ohio State Champion Kings squad, which finished the season with a 21-0 record Teamed with Matt Allare to win the 2005 Ohio State Doubles Championship Ismail and Allare did not drop a set in four matches en route to picking up the championship Claimed runner-up honors in the 2004 Ohio State Doubles Championship as Ismail and John Allare fell 6-4, 6-3 to current Xavier teammate Doug Matthews and Matt Allare Finished in the top 10 percent of class at Kings Also earned a Trustee Scholarship at Xavier.
