ST. LOUIS - Sixth-seed Xavier takes on second-seed George Washington for the Atlantic 10 Championship title and league's automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.

Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET from Robert R. Hermann Stadium.

It's the second consecutive time that Xavier has reached the championship match. The path to this year's championship final has been similar for the Musketeers who became the first No. 6 seed to win the tournament last year. They face the second-seeded George Washington Colonials who defeated No. 5 seed La Salle in Friday's semifinal match.

This will be the second time that the Musketeers and Colonials played this year, marking the third rematch in a row for Xavier. The Musketeers avenged an overtime loss to Char¬lotte by winning in overtime themselves, 2-1, in the first round. Xavier scored twice in the second half to defeat Fordham, 2-0, a team they lost to at home on Oct. 7.

Xavier beat George Washington, 2-0, on senior day nearly a month ago to close out its home schedule. Senior Andrew Boisvert and sophomore Gino Depaoli scored for the Musketeers who earned their third-program win over the Colonials.

Ironically George Washington is the team that allowed Xavier to earn the six spot in the tournament, after they beat Duquesne, 1-0, on the final day of the regular season. That positive result allowed Xavier to maintain the final seed with 14 points. A tie would have also given the Musketeers a postseason berth.
