Ryan Repeats As CoSIDA Academic All-District Team Member

CINCINNATI - Xavier defender Sean Ryan added another academic milestone to his illustrious career as he repeated as a member of the Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-District Five Team on Thursday.
Ryan, an outside back for the No. 17/15 Xavier men's soccer team, graduated last May with a dual degree in economics and finance. He earned a spot on last year's Capital One CoSIDA Academic All-American Second Team and earned a spot on his second consecutive Atlantic 10 All-Academic Team. He finished his career by being named to eight-straight A-10 Commissioner Honor Rolls.
He is now eligible for the All-American team that commences voting early next week. Voting is conducted by members of CoSIDA.
The Hilliard, Ohio native is a three-year captain who has started and played in 73 matches and logged over 6,264 minutes on the pitch. It averages to 85.8 minutes and 89.5 percent of the team's total minutes during his career. He has one-career goal and five-career assists.
District five is comprised of all Division I schools from Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio.
Xavier closes out its regular season this weekend as it plays host to Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
