CINCINATTI, Ohio. - Head coach Eric Toth of the Xavier Men's tennis program has released the 2014 Spring Schedule, which features matches against Ohio State and Brown which are perennial top-75 programs.
After finishing the fall season in early October at the USTA/ITA Regional Championships, the men's tennis team has been working to improve their skills in preparation for the leap to the Big East in the spring.
"Our Men are really excited to take on a very challenging 2014 schedule," stated Toth. "We play several accomplished programs that Coach Matthews and I feel will really prepare us well for Big East play and most importantly the end of the year Big East tournament in New York. Our goal of winning a Big East title we all feel is in reach and playing a demanding regular season schedule will put us in position to hopefully be at our best at the end of the year."
The Musketeers will begin the season on January 22nd against Ohio State and continue their Big East campaign as they square off against Brown January 31st and Indiana February 7th. The Big East tournament will be held in Queens, NY and begin April 24th.
Be sure to mark your calendars!
