CINCINNATI - The No. 17/14 Xavier men's soccer team open up the Atlantic 10 Conference portion of its schedule when it hosts nationally-ranked Saint Louis on Friday and new league foe Butler on Sunday.

Kickoff begins at 7 p.m. on Friday at the Xavier University Soccer Complex against the Billikens who are receiving votes in numerous national rankings. Sunday's match against the Bulldogs begins at 1 p.m. Both games will be streamed live on GoXavier.com.

Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for youth (17 and under). Groups of 15 or more can purchase advance tickets for $3 by calling 513-745-3411. Also available is a Xavier Soccer Scarf for $25 that serves as admission to every remaining home match this season.

Xavier Musketeers
• The Musketeers (17/14) currently atop the Atlantic 10 standings, open up conference play this weekend as the two-time defending tournament champion.
• Xavier finished its non-conference with a 7-0-2 record making them the only team in the league to accompish the feat. It is also the first time since joining the A-10 that Xavier has not lost a game going into conference play.
• The Musketeers are looking to become just the third active A-10 school to win three-straight conference championships.
• Xavier is averaging 2.22 goals and allowing just 0.67 scores per match.
• Offensive Leaders: Luke Spencer (9g, 3a), Matt Walker (4g, 5a), Gino De Paoli (3g, 3a) and Will Walker (2g, 2a). Justin Marshall (0.68 gaa) has the majority of minutes in net for Xavier.
• Despite winning the last two conference championships, Xavier was picked second in the preseason coaches' poll.

Saint Louis
• Saint Louis (RV/19) is off to a hot start and look to have returned to the national scene.
• The Billikens have played a difficult schedule, which includes wins over No. 18 Louisville (1-0) and No. 7 Creighton (3-1). Saint Louis lost its season opener (2-1) to No. 12 Indiana.
• Saint Louis is averaging 2.12 goals and allowing 0.88 goals per match.
• Offensive Leaders: Robbie Kristo (4g, 2a), Alex Sweetin (3g, 2a), Adnan Gabeljic (3g, 1a), Jon Roeckle (2g, 3a) and Raymond Lee (2g). Nick Shackelford (0.87 gaa) has played all year in goal for the Billikens.
• The Billikens were picked to finish fourth in the A-10 by the league's 16 head coaches.

Butler Bulldogs
• Butler begins A-10 play as a first-time member this weekend. The Bulldogs face Dayton on Friday.
• The Bulldogs have four ties on the season, which includes neutral site draws against No. 10 St. John's and No. 11 South Florida at the Akron Tournament.
• Butler averages 1.38 goals and give up 1.25 goals per match.
• Offensive Leaders: Adam Glanzer (3g), Jeff Adkins (2g, 2a), Brandon Fricke (1g, 2a), Tyler Pollock (1g, 1a), Caleb Postlewait (1g, 1a) and Zach Steinberger (1g, 1a). Jon Dawson (1.12 gaa) has seen all the action in goal for the Bulldogs.
• The Bulldogs were selected to tie for seventh in the A-10 preseason poll.

Last Time Out
• The Musketeers closed out their non-conference schedule with a convincing 5-0 victory over Div. III opponent Thomas More on Sept. 27.
• Sophomore Andrew Jordan and senior Luke Spencer each scored twice and junior Matt Walker also tallied a goal.
• Xavier's defense recorded its third-straight shutout and allowed just six total shots.
• The Musketeers posted a season-high eight assists on the five goals scored.

Unbeaten Streak Continues
• With last Thursday's 5-0 win over Thomas More, Xavier extended its program-best unbeaten streak to nine. The previous program best was established in 1992 when the Musketeers went 4-0-4.
• The streak also represents the longest such to start a season.
• It is also the longest streak in the A-10. Richmond and Saint Louis have the second longest unbeaten streak at three.

Spencer Among National, Atlantic 10 Leaders
• Senior forward Luke Spencer has put together an offensively impressive season that ranks among the national and conference leaders.
• He has nine goals and three assists in the Musketeers' nine games.
• As of Monday, the Cincinnati native was nationally ranked fourth in points per game (2.33), third in total points (21), third in goals per game (1.00) and third in total goals.
• Spencer's nine goals this year are a career-high and ranks him first in the A-10 in points, points per game, goals, goals per game and game-winning goals (3).
• He is tied for seventh all-time with 24-career goals and 64-career points. His 16-career assists stands alone in the seventh spot all-time for the Musketeers.
