CINCINNATI - Xavier will host its in-town rival Cincinnati for the 2012 Crosstown Derby beginning at 7 p.m. on Sunday at the Xavier University Soccer Complex.

The two schools separated by 2.5 miles are meeting for the 41st time. The Musketeers (1-0-1) enter the match after earning a 2-1 decision over Wright State at home on Tuesday. The Bearcats (1-2-0) dropped a 1-0 match to Saint Francis (Pa.) at home on Thursday.

The Musketeers trail the all-time series (8-25-7) and are looking for their first victory since 2004. Since then Xavier has lost four matches by a goal and played to two overtime draws.

In last year's meeting Xavier took a 1-0 lead into halftime thanks to a goal by Matt Walker but gave up the tying goal minutes into the second half. Double yellow cards gave the Musketeers a man advantage for the final 50 minutes of the match but they were unable to capitalize.

Senior forward Luke Spencer has been the shining star in the Musketeers offense thus far, scoring all three goals. Spencer picked up his third-career two-goal game against the Raiders on Tuesday.

The Musketeers are placing 42.9 percent of their shots on goal this season and averaging 14.0 shots per game. Defensively the Musketeers have allowed two goals and goalkeeper Justin Marshall has a 0.90 goals against average.

Cincinnati's only goal of the season came from Cole DeNormandie in the Bearcats first game of the season. The Bearcats average 8.0 shots per match and place 33.3 percent of their shots on goal. Goalkeeper Taylor Hafling has a 1.33 goals against average.

The match will be streamed live on GoXavier.com beginning at 6:50 p.m.
