HUNTINGTON, W.Va. - After 110 minutes, the Xavier men's soccer team played Marshall to a 0-0 draw in the Musketeers 2010 season opener at MU's Sam Hood Field. Sophomore Justin Marshall recorded five saves in goal as the Musketeer defense held the Herd scoreless.

Marshall (0-0-1) won the battle of the shots as the Herd out-shot the Musketeers by a margin of 21-3 and MU took seven corners to XU's one. The fouls were nearly equal with Xavier drawing a whistle 16 times to Marshall's 13.

Xavier (0-0-1) drew the only caution of the game, a yellow card charged to senior Andy Dimbi in the 69th minute.

Xavier returns home this weekend to open the home portion of its schedule on Saturday. The Musketeers will play host to the Butler Bulldogs with kickoff set for 7 p.m. at Xavier Soccer Complex.
