Several members of the Xavier men's soccer team played a big part in helping the Crew Juniors win the U-19 National Championship. Three current players talk about playing in front of national TV audience and how this helps the program as a whole.
Highlights from Xavier's 2-1 win include a slithering goal from Luke Spencer and overtime winner from Will Walker.

High School Played for his father, Bob, at Batavia High School in Batavia, Ohio ... was a two-time Southern Buckeye Athletic Academic Conference Player of the Year ... as a senior was named to the Division II All-Ohio First Team, First Team All-Southwest, and First Team All-SBAAC ... netted 25 goals and 24 assists as he led Batavia to a 16-1-2 record and district championship runner-up title his senior year ... scored 19 goals and tallied nine assist for the a 12-2-2 Batavia team, and earned All-Southwest Ohio and All-SBAAC Player of the Year honors ... led the Bulldogs to the sectional championship game behind eight goals and 10 assists his sophomore season and was named to the First Team All-SBAAC and honorable mention All-Southwest Ohio.
Club Experience Spent the past two years played for the Columbus Crew Academy U18 along teammates Matt Hill, Nick Hagglund and brother Matt Walker ... was a member of the Crew Jrs. Super 20 National Championship team in 2010 and 2011 ... spent five years on the Ohio Olympic Development Team (OPD) ... played with the 2008 ODP Region team.
