As a Junior (2007): Saw action in nine games and earned two starting assignments ... Scholten started against IUPUI on September 16 and at Marshall on September 21 ... Was a part of the Musketeer defense, which registered six shutouts, held the opposition to one goal or less on nine occasions and allowed the fewest goals since 1984.

As a Sophomore (2006): Was forced to sit out the first seven games of the season due to injury ... Came back and started on the XU backline in the last 11 games ... Recorded one shot in his season debut at Pitt on September 20 ... Solidified an XU defense that held opponents to one goal or less in seven of the 12 games he saw action in ... Was a part of XU's lone shutout, a 2-0 victory over UMass on October 8.

As a Freshman (2005): A key addition to the Xavier backline, he played in 13 matches and started in eight of those contests ... Posted a season-high two shots against Florida International on September 18.

High School: Lettered three years for head coach Charles Delong at Dallas Jesuit in Dallas, Texas ... Helped Dallas Jesuit to a District Championship and the Regional Finals in 2005 ... Several of Scholten's teammates at Dallas Jesuit are now playing soccer at Division I institutions including Memphis, Georgetown, Notre Dame, St. Louis, SMU and Mercer.
