David Krems is the newest addition to the Xavier men's soccer staff and will start his first season as director of soccer operations for the 2012-13 year.
Krems was a four-year starter for Hiram College where he was standout player at three different positions. Hiram went 43-17-13 during Krems career that saw him tally the fourth most goals in program history. He was named to four All-North Coast Athletic Conference teams, including first team selections in 2006 and 2007.
After his playing career Krems served as a volunteer assistant coach at Hiram for two seasons. In addition to being an assistant for the varsity team, Krems was the head coach of the reserve team. For two years Krems was the Everest Soccer Club head coach for the boys U13-U14, which included four teams. The Lakewood, Ohio native also coached for the Hiram College Youth Soccer Camp, Lakewood Soccer Association, and the G-Plex Sports Complex.
Krems graduated from Hiram in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in management.
