Men's Golf Set To Host Cobra-PUMA Invite In The Sunshine State

MIROMAR LAKES, Fla. - The Xavier men’s golf team will compete in Miromar Lakes, Fla. on Sunday and Monday, Oct. 27-28, when they host the Cobra-PUMA Invitational at Miromar Lakes Golf Club.

The 54-hole event is set to get underway with a 9 a.m. shotgun start on Sunday and conclude Monday with 18 holes also beginning at 9 in the morning. Live scoring will not be available.

In addition to Xavier, the 12 other teams competing this week are: Arkansas State, Bethune-Cookman, Dayton, Florida Atlantic, FGCU, Georgetown, Northern Kentucky, Ohio, Savannah State, St. John’s, Saint Joseph’s and Stetson. The Eagles (No. 99) and St. John’s (No. 93) are both ranked nationally in the top 100 in the most recent Golfweek Rankings updated Thursday.

Xavier will go through a round of qualifying on Saturday before head coach Doug Steiner submits a final lineup.

The Blue and White are coming off a 10th-place showing at the Georgetown Intercollegiate in Maryland last week and are competing in the final outing of the fall season.
