Bealsville, Md. --- The Xavier University men’s golf team stands seventh out of 12 teams after two rounds of the 28th Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate, which is being held at The Members Club at Four Streams in Bealsville, Md. XU shot a two-round total of 588, which is 13 shots off the leader’s pace being set by Toledo.

Two Musketeer golfers are in the top 20 after the two-round first day of action. Yuki Kato is in a tie for 13th at 3-over-par 145, while Korey Ward is tied for 17th at 4-over-par 146. Jesse Heinly (tied for 29th at 148), Aaron Siekmann (tied for 32nd at 149) and Tanapol Vattanapisit (tied for 52nd at 154) round out the five-member team scores. Connor Tendall, playing as an individual, stands tied for 47th at 153.

The par-71, 7,102-yard course is the home for the Georgetown University men’s and women’s programs. The third and final round will tee off tomorrow morning.
