Beausejour Named Atlantic 10 Rookie of the Week

PHILADELPHIA - Xavier University freshman Mike Beausejour has been named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Rookie of the Week for Men's Golf as announced by the Conference office on Monday afternoon. The honor follows Beausejour's performance this past weekend at The Wolverine Intercollegiate.

In just the second tournament of his collegiate career, Beausejour shot a 1-under par 212 with rounds of 71, 70 and 71 in helping to lead the Musketeers to a second place finish in the 15-team field. After two tournaments, he has a 72.83 scoring average including two rounds below par.

Xavier will be back in action on Monday, Oct. 3, when the Musketeers travel to Richmond, Va. to play in the Mattaponi Springs Collegiate hosted by Virginia Commonwealth University.
