Men's Golf Set To Participate In The Wolverine Intercollegiate

CINCINNATI - The Xavier men's golf team heads to Michigan for its second tournament of the fall, traveling to Ann Arbor for the Wolverine Intercollegiate.
Play at the University of Michigan Golf Course begins with 36 holes on Monday at 8:45 a.m. ET, followed by the final 18 holes on Tuesday. The U-M Golf Course will be set up for a par 71 and 6,704 yards.
The Musketeers will sport a five-person lineup of Korey Ward (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West), Yuki Kato (Las Vegas, Nev./Faith Lutheran), Matt Wetterch (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle HS), Tanapol Vattanapisit (Rayong, Thailand/The Pendleton School) and Matt Gerard (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius).
Joining Michigan and Xavier in the field is Detroit, Eastern Michigan, Lamar, Miami (Ohio), Michigan State, Oakland, Penn State, San Jose State and Toledo.
Last week in their season opener, the Blue and White finished 8th at the Marshall Invitational. Ward led the XU effort, placing tied for 12th overall with a 213 (72-67-74) in the two-day event.
Xavier last competed in this tournament in 2011, when it finished third.
