Two Former Musketeers Set to Play In PGA Tour

CINCINNATI Andy Pope (2002-06) will join Jason Kokrak (2003-07) on the PGA Tour to compete in the Tampa Bay Championship presented by EverBank Thursday, March 14-Sunday, March 17. This marks the first time in school history that two Xavier men’s golfers will compete on the PGA Tour at the same time. Pope and Kokrak were teammates for three seasons (2003-06).

Pope was a Musketeer from 2002-2006 and posted a career 73.83 scoring average in 132.5 rounds which ranks seventh best in Xavier history. He posted a career-low 66 on two occasions, Xavier Invitational (2004) and Marshall Invitational (2005). Pope’s best season came in his senior campaign where is totaled a 72.92 season average, 11th in Musketeer history.

Pope earned his first NGA Tour victory this past winter, winning the Bridgestone Winter Series. This week’s PGA Tour event will be played at Copperhead in Palm Harbor, Fla. Pope is set to tee off at 2:10 p.m. while Kokrak is teeing off at 12:30 p.m.
