Men's Golf Finishes Fifth at Amelia Island Intercollegiate

FERNANDINA BEACH, Fla. - The Xavier men's golf team wrapped up its fall schedule with a fifth place finish at the Amelia Island Intercollegiate (887 +23). Senior Sebastian MacLean was the top finisher for the Musketeers, posting a 14th place performance. MacLean fired a 3-over-par 74 in the final round for a 3-over-par 219 tournament total. Freshman Korey Ward came away with a 5-over-par 221 total after carding a 4-over-par 76 in the final round. He would finish in a tie for 24th. Tanapol Vattanapisit was the next finisher for Xavier with a 29th place finish. The freshman shot a 2-over-par 74 in the final 18 for a 8-over-par 224 total. Senior Chris Burger came in a tie for 38th place with a tournament total of 11-over-par 227 after coming away with a 3-over-par 75 on the last day of competition. Freshman Connor Tendall finished at 14-over-par 230 for 46th place. North Florida won the team title with a 20-under-par 844, while UNF's Sean Dale earned medalist honors with a 9-under-par 207.
