BEALLSVILLE, Md. - Korey Ward (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) carded a 4-over 146 to sit in 16th place and the Xavier men’s golf team is tied for ninth place after day one of the 2013 Georgetown Intercollegiate played at The Members Club at Four Streams.

Paul Dunne of UAB fired back-to-back 69s and sits atop the individual leaderboard with a two-round score of 138 (4-under). UAB leads team scoring after recording a 560 (278-282) after 36 holes. Toledo is 26 strokes back at 586, while Penn State is 27 strokes behind and sits in third place (295-292).

Tanapol Vattanapisit (Rayong, Thailand/The Pendleton School) registered a 5-over 147 after 36 holes and sits tied for 17th place. Yuki Kato (Las Vegas, Nev./Faith Lutheran) is 8-over par and is tied for 30th place.

Matt Wetterich (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle HS) and Matt Gerard (Cleveland, Ohio/St. Ignatius) rounded out the Musketeer scorecard on day one. Wetterich is 14-over and has possession of 55th place, while Gerard is 15-over and tied for 56th position.

John Burger (Cincinnati, Ohio/LaSalle), competing as an individual, carded scores of 78 and 75 and is tied for 43rd place after 36 holes.

The 29th Annual Georgetown Intercollegiate will resume third round play on Tuesday morning beginning at 8:30 a.m.
