Men's Golf Finishes Seventh in Memphis

MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Senior Andy Connell and reigning Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week Mike Beausejour each earned top-13 finishes to lead the Xavier University men's golf team to a seventh-place finish at the Memphis Invitational at the par 72 Colonial Country Club in Memphis, Tenn.
The event was shortened to two rounds due to poor weather on Monday.
Connell, who shot himself into a tie for fourth place after the first round, enjoyed his second-consecutive solid outing with rounds of 70-75 - 145 (+1) and finished in a tie for ninth place.
Beausejour shot 76 in the first round but rallied and shot 70 in the second round to finish in a tie for 13th at 1-over par.
Kyle Hodges and reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week Peter O'Neill each shot 76 in round one but Hodges fired a 74 in the second round to finish in a tie for 34th while O'Neill shot 78 and finished in a tie for 56th. Classmate Diego Tamayo shot rounds of 78-79 - 157 (+13) and finished in a tie for 65th.
