CINCINNATI --- Xavier University golfer Korey Ward (West Chester, Ohio/Lakota West) shot a seven-over-par 78 today in the second round of the 2013 NCAA Men's Golf Championship Regional being played May 16-18 in Columbus, Ohio. Ward now stands tied for 40th with a two-round total of nine-over-par 151 with one round to go at the Ohio State University Golf Club Scarlet Course.

Ward tees off for the final round at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.

There are 13 teams and 10 individuals competing at the regional at OSU. The low five teams and the low individual not on those teams from each regional will advance to the finals conducted May 28-June 2, at The Capital City Club, Crabapple Course in Atlanta, Georgia.

This is the third straight year and the 10th time in 13 years that the Xavier men's golf program has sent an individual or the team to an NCAA Regional. This marks the third straight year and the fifth time in seven years that a Xavier men's individual golfer has been selected for the NCAA Championship.
