Men's Golf Finishes in Second at the A-10 Championship

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. – Four Musketeers finished in the top-11 to lead the Xavier University men’s golf team to a second-finish at the 2009 Atlantic 10 Championship at the Mission Inn Golf and Tennis Resort in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. XU finished the event with a 30-over par 882, 11 shots behind Charlotte. Freshman Sebastian MacLean led the way for XU by finishing in a tie for fourth place after firing rounds of 73-72-74 – 219 (+6). His 74 on Sunday included an eagle on the par-five 10th hole. Alan Glynn struggled in Friday’s first round but shot 71-72 on the weekend to finish in a tie for seventh place with an eight-over par 221. Peter O’Neill was right on Glynn’s heels, completing the tournament at 222 (+9) after carding rounds of 73-74-75. Mike Beausejour also put together a solid tournament, finishing in a tie for 11th at 223 (+10).
Kieran Lovelock rounded out the scoring with a +16 229 and finished in a tie for 19th.
