Ward shot a 3-under-par 68 in round two

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -The Xavier men's golf team finished up day two of the Florida Atlantic Invitational in sixth place. Senior Chris Burger is tied for fifth, while freshman Korey Ward was able to move up the leader board off a low round.
As a team, the Musketeers shot a team score of 283 (-1) for an even-par 568 two-day total. Florida State remains in first, with a team score of 556 (-12). Florida State's Brooks Koepka and Northern Illinois' Thomas Dunne led the tournament with 6-under-par 136.
Burger shot an even-par 71 in round two to stand at 4-under-par 138. Burger has the third-best par-4 scoring average in the field at 3.95. Freshman Tanapol Vattanapisit sits in a tie for 14th after carding a 2-over-par 73 for a tournament total of 1-under-par 142.
Rookie Korey Ward turned in a 3-under-par 68 off six birdies to move up to a tie for 26th with a tournament total of 1-over-par 143. Senior Sebastian MacLean fired a 2-over-par 73 for 46th place, while freshman Connor Tendall's even-par 71 moved him to 52nd place.
