2006 Summer: Carded rounds of 68 and 71 to finish with a 5-under-par 139 en route to winning the U.S. Amateur Public Links Sectional Qualifier, which was held at the par-72, 7,044-yard Hueston Woods Golf Course The win advanced him to the U.S. Amateur Public Links Championship at Gold Mountain Golf Club in Bremerton, Wash. where he missed the cut by a stroke.
