2007-08: Opened the Xavier Invitational with two-straight rounds of two-under par golf, landing him a two-over par finished at 218 (T-40th) • Fired his season-best round of 68 at the EKU Colonel Classic, where he finished tied for 17th as an individual • Concluded the season with a 76.44 scoring average after nine total rounds. 2006-07: Saw action in three tournaments as a sophomore • Recorded a season-low round of 70 (-2) in the second round of the Xavier Invitational • Turned in a 75.67 scoring average for the season. Summer 2006: Won the Montana State Amamteur Championship for the second consecutive year with a 10-under 274 • The 10-under score set a record in Montana Am play at Missoula CC • Fired a 68 (-3) in the final round and won the event by eight strokes.

High School: A four-year captain for Rob Bazant at Billings West High School in Billings, Mont. • Honored as the team "Player of the Year" in each of his four seasons • Was also selected to the All-State team four times • Billings West took home the State Championship trophy in 2002 and 2004 and Hedge was the Montana State Champion in 2004 • Also played basketball in high school and averaged 4.1 assists per game during the 2004-05 season en route to leading Billings West to a runner-up finish in the Montana State Tournament.
