Holloway's triple-double against Wake Forest on Saturday earned him his third A-10 Player of the Week honor of the season.

CINCINNATI - Xavier's junior guard Tu Holloway has been named the Atlantic 10 Co-Player of the Week with St. Bonaventure's Andrew Nicholson. Holloway received the award for his triple-double performance against Wake Forest in the second annual Skip Prosser Classic. With former Xavier great and current NBA player David West in attendance, Holloway posted 14 points, a career-high 10 rebounds, and a career-high 14 assists. Ironically, West was the last Xavier player to accomplish the feat when he scored 15 points, hauled in 10 rebounds, and handed out 10 assists against Long Island (12-8-01).
This is the third time that Holloway has received the A-10 honor this season. Holloway won the award on November 15 and November 22 for his performances against Western Michigan, IPFW, Iowa and Seton Hall to start the season. He is the only player in the conference to have been named A-10 Player of the Week multiple times this season. Additionally,
Holloway is a candidate for the Bob Cousy Award, which is given annually to the best collegiate point guard. Through nine games this season, Holloway is averaging 21.3 ppg., 5.4 apg., and 4.9 rpg.. He ranks second in the Atlantic 10 in scoring and third in assists per game, and is the only player in the top five of both statistical categories.
Xavier travels to Spokane, Wash. for a Wednesday evening contest against Gonzaga. Game time is scheduled for 11 p.m. ET and can be seen on ESPN2.
