CINCINNATI --- The Xavier University men's basketball team, 5-0, finally arrived back in Cincinnati tonight after a week in Puerto Rico. The Musketeers are also back in both major nationals polls announced today following their impressive championship run through the O'Reilly Auto Parts Puerto Rico Tip-Off this past weekend in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Xavier, 16th in the Associated Press Poll and 20th in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll, defeated Missouri, Virginia Tech and Memphis to win the title.

The Musketeers, who defeated then No. 13/12 Memphis, 63-58, in last night's championship game, had been among the top teams among "others receiving votes" in  both the preseason polls and last week's first polls of the regular season. XU tied the school record for best finish in the final 2008 Associated Press Poll when it finished 12th this past March. XU set a new school record for the final post-tournament 2008 ESPN/USA Today Coaches Poll with a ranking of eighth in a poll that was released after the 2008 Final Four.

Xavier returns home this Saturday to host Miami (Ohio) in a 4:30 p.m. game at Cintas Center.
