CINCINNATI-- Xavier senior point guard Tu Holloway added another preseason honor to a growing list of accolades as he was named today as a preseason ESPN.com First Team All-American by a panel of 15 ESPN analysts. ESPN.com's Dana O'Neil selected Holloway as her preseason choice as National Player of the Year.

Holloway, who was also named as a preseason Athlon Sports First Team All-American, was No. 4 in CBSSports.com's recent list of the Top 100 Players In College Basketball. Holloway was named Second Team All-American by CBSSports.com. Yesterday Holloway was named to the Naismith Preseason Watch List. Holloway had already been named earlier this Fall on the John R. Wooden Award preseason top 50 list.

Holloway was named a Third Team Associated Press All-American for the 2010-11 season, making him just the third Xavier player to earn AP first, second or third team honors and only the second to do it as an underclassman. He was named the 2010-11 Atlantic 10 Conference Player of the Year and was a member of the A-10 All-Defensive Team following his junior campaign. He was second in the Atlantic 10 in scoring at 19.7 points per game (27th in the nation) to go with 5.4 assists per game (first in the Atlantic 10 and 29th in the nation) last season.
